Forum for Foresight and Future Analysis in the Areas of International Politics and Global Issues
In Today’s Zamam, Matthew Hamilton has published an interesting article on how Russia-Europe tensions complicate Turkey’s energy strategy. Hamilton concludes his analysis by arguing:
‘Ankara is caught in the cross-fire, forced to choose sides between increasingly bellicose global superpowers: one representing long-term prosperity and the other representing short-term necessity.’
Once again, this article stresses the need for Turkey to think reflectively about its future energy political role as well as to act upon such thinking now.
It features quotes form energy analysts, including from me. My quotes derive from the work in the Project Turkish Energy Leadership Foresight.
